Over the last couple of months I've been delegated the responsibility of scanning in a little more than a hundred of my old family photos, lent to me by my grandmother and I just love looking at them.
I love the fantastic paper that some of them were printed on. I love the label on the back of some of them. The addresses and the phone numbers.... they are so different for what we use today.
I just wanted to pull out a couple to show you.
This first one is my favorite by far. It is my grandmother as a baby and her parents. It's printed on what I can only guess to be silver gelatin type paper. It has a lovely texture and a silver sheen to the paper. It's just gorgeous.
This next image is just kind of representative. I think probably half, or at least a third of the images had people posed in front of cars like this. I love it.
This last image is, I believe, my grandmother's grandfather or possibly her great grandfather. I believe she called him "Opa". My grandma says that her grand parents were Dutch and didn't speak much English. I personally just love his stance, the look on his face and his incredible personality that shows in this image.

I've scanned a bunch of old photos as well. I love having the memories preserved digital like that!
